Abstract
The research entitled ‘Techniques of Teaching Drama in Higher Secondary Classes' is an
attempt to find out the different techniques that the Higher Secondary Level teachers use
in teaching drama and to analyze the techniques used by them. The researcher selected
twenty higher secondary schools of Chitwan district and forty teachers (two from each
school). All the teachers were requested to fill up the questionnaire prepared by the
researcher. And the researcher observed the classes of forty teachers while they were
teaching drama by applying various techniques and filled up the observation check-lists.
The data collected from the teachers of higher secondary schools were compared,
analyzed and interpreted to find out the differences of techniques. By this study, it was
found that various techniques were being used for teaching drama.
The research consists of four chapters. The first chapter includes the general background,
review of the related literature, objectives, significance and limitations of the study. The
second chapter consists of the research methodology, sources of data, population of the
study, sampling procedure, tools for data collection and process of data collection. The
third chapter, the body of the research deals with analysis and interpretation of data using
simple statistical tools like percentage. The fourth chapter focuses on findings and
recommendations
