Abstract
This study aims to examine the fertility behaviour of indigenous community.It presents the findings from analysis of interviewed data from Hatiya VDC,Sankhuwa-Sabha district. The sample population of this study is 121 women of reproductive ages15-49of Bhote community. Data were obtain on household and individual information related to explain fertility performancefrom the survey conducted during august 2009.
and female children aged under 5 were only 56 in Bhote community in studyarea Analysis of fertility behaviour was carried out by using cross tables and mean tables with selected depended and independent variables.Children ever born ( CEB ) were used as an indicator of fertility behaviour
In the sample population of indigenous community, 52.60% were males and47.12% were females. The family size of this community was 5.5 per house.Out of the 590 total population , the male.
Among the 121 respondents highest percent ( 7.63 ) were found in age group 20-24 and lowest percent ( 0.68) in age group 60+. Among the reproductive age 15–49 years of 451 population,76.27 percent were already married and 23.73 percent were unmarried.
