Abstract
The present study entitled, ‘Beliefs of the Students Towards Existing
Examination System of M.Ed. English' has been carried out to find out the
beliefs of the students towards existing examination system of M.Ed. English.
This study was carried out using both the primary and secondary sources of
data. For primary data, forty-eight students of M.Ed. English second year and
the ones who were writing theses were randomly selected from the four
Campuses of Kathmandu and Bhaktapur districts. From each campus, twelve
students of M.Ed. English were given the questionnaires to get information.
The researcher used both open-ended and close-ended types of questionnaires
to elicit the required data. It is found that the main reason of tearing off the
question papers in the exams of M.Ed. English is not improper design and
difficulty level of questions. Likewise, it is found that giving re-examination in
M.Ed. English should be stopped because it causes to degrade the image of
T.U. From the analyzed data, it is found that the students have positive beliefs
towards M.Ed. English exams. However, they suggested that T.U. should apply
the strict rules and regulations to stop the tearing off question papers in the
exams so that it will discourage such students who are indulged in such
activities.
