Abstract

This study tries to unveil the women’s position in the Feudalistic Hindu Brahaminical patriarchal society and their participation in People’s War subverting their traditional role under the title “Subversion of Traditional Gender Role: A Study of People’s War from Marxist Feminist Perspective. The condition of women is not improved even in the democratic system. They are always oppressed by the state and the patriarchy. In patriarchal society Economic, Social and Political Oppression are the main cause behind women being back. Feudalistic and Capitalist mode of property distribution is inherited by patriarchal society and women are the victims of that mode. All women are suffering from male domination caused by the property handling. Economic dependency is the main cause behind the social and political oppression of women. So to liberate them from such domination, women actively took part in People’s War. They involved themselves in the movement to establish propertyless society where all sorts of discrimination will be ended. It is only Communism which can guarantee to provide equality but it is not so easy to establish Communism. They have to struggle for long time. As class struggle goes on similarly women’s movement goes on until and unless they get Communism.
