Abstract

The main aim of this dissertation is to study and analyze the impact of knowledge management practices on the performance of IT companies in Nepal. Specifically, study assesses the impact of independent variables knowledge acquisition, knowledge dissemination and knowledge utilization on dependent variable perceived organizational performance. The demographic information includes age, gender a position of respondents in their organization. The research instrument used in their search is self-administered questionnaires to the target population who employees of selected IT companies in Nepal. Out of 200 questionnaires distribute 158 were obtained and analyzed to examine the relationship between KM practice and perceived organizational performance. The study included 3 independent variables of which only 2 were found to has significant relationship to dependent variable. Significant variables were knowledge acquisition and knowledge utilization whereas knowledge dissemination wainsignificant. However all the independent variables were positively correlated dependent variable. Finally, study concluded that there is positive relationship between KM practices and perceived performance of IT companies in Nepal.
