Abstract
This present study entitled "Developing Proficiency on Passivisation
Through Discovery Technique" was an attempt to find out the
development of grade nine students' proficiency on passivisation through
discovery technique. To fulfill the objectives, the researcher selected
thirty students of grade nine from a public school of Salyan by nonrandom purposive sampling procedure. After selecting the sample
population, a pre-test was administered. During the research period,
twenty-one lessons on passivisation were taught through discovery
technique. And all together four tests were administered and scores were
compared with each other. The data were analysed using simple statistical
tools like frequency count, percentage and descriptive approach. The
findings of this study show that grade nine students' proficiency on
passivisation was developed through discovery technique.
The thesis has been divided into four main chapters and many sub- chapters. The first chapter deals with general background of the study,
review of the related literature, objectives and significance of the study.
The second chapter consists of methodology under which sources of data,
sampling procedure, research tools, process of data collection and
limitations of the study have been included. Similarly, third chapter deals
with the analysis and interpretation of data. The fourth chapter consists of
the findings and recommendations based on the analysis and
interpretation of data. References and appendices are attached at the end.
