Abstract
This present work contains the contrastive analysis of Rajbangsi and English
pronominal systems. The languages corpus of English are collected from the
secondary sources, whereas Rajbangsi pronominal corpus are collected from
Charpane of Jhapa. Direct observation and interviews have been the sources
of collecting language corpus. Secondary sources have been used to get
some information of Rajbangsi people and their language. The findings show
that English lacks honorificity in pronouns, whereas Rajbangsi lacks
indefinite pronouns. In other contexts, systems of pronominal markings are
different. English lacks ergative markers, whereas it exists in Rajbangsi.
First chapter deals with Introduction that mainly consists of general
background, Rajbangsi people, Rajbangsi and English, literature review,
objectives of the study, significance of the study and hypothesis of the study.
Second chapter contains methodology, whereas chapter three deals with
analysis and interpretation. Findings and recommendations are included in
Chapter four, which is followed by references and appendices.
