Abstract
The present thesis entitled Students' Perception on Working as a Part-timer and Learning English aims to find out the need of part-time job for students and relation of part-time job and the study of English. Keeping the objectives in consideration, thirty students from five different colleges were sampled through non random purposive sampling procedure. A set of questionnaire and a semi-structured interview schedule were the tools of data collection. After the analysis and interpretation of raw data, it was found that students tend to do part-time job for money to continue their further study owing to their poor economic family background and for getting experience of the work. It was also found that there was the positive relationship between the job that students have been doing along with their study of English. From the data the researcher collected, it has been found that part-time job is now a common aspect of student life and they have positive attitudes towards it.
