Abstract
This research entitled“Tense and Aspect System in English and Danuwar” is an
attempt to identify the processes of Tense-aspect system in Danuwar, to compare and
contrast them with those of English and suggest pedagogical implication based on the
findings. In order to accomplish the objectives of the study, both primary and secondary
sources of data have been used.The sample population of the study consists of forty
Danuwar native speakers selected through purposive sampling procedure to carry out the
research work using the set of Interview schedule and questionnaire.
The study is plotted into five chapters. Chapter one of this thesis comprises general
background,statement of the problem, rationale of the study,objectives of the study,
limitation of the study and definitions of the important terms.Chapter two deals with
review of the related theoretical literature and empirical literature,implication of
literature review and conceptual frame work. Chapter three is devoted to design of the
study, population and sample, sampling procedure,data collection tools, data collection
procedure and data analysis and interpretation. Chapter four is related to result and
discussion and chapter five present the summary, conclusion and implication. In the final
section references and appendixes are included.
