In Bhimdatt municipality of Kanchanpur district, there is a community of residents near riverside, particularly the Dalit community facing unsanitary living conditions and lack of proper toilets. This research was conducted from December 2004 to December 2005 at Siddhanath Amar Secondary School. A total of 224 stool samples were collected by sampling a group of 448 children and examined under a microscope. Among these 80 samples, a staggering 35.71% tested positive for intestinal parasitic infections ranging singleto multiple infections. During the research, the study found that 63.75% of the observed intestinal parasites were Ascaris sp., while Trichuris sp. (6.25%). "Hookworm and Hymenolepis sp. make up 10% each, with another 10% Entamoeba sp. The current investigation included 1.25% Cryptosporidium sp. and 1.25%Cyclospora sp. Higher prevalence of 42.14% was showed by the age group of 10-15year group whereas the least prevalence of (12.50%) was found among 0–5year age group. Caste-wise prevalence of parasitic infection revealed that Bhote children (60%) had a higher infection rate than other different caste. The following castes were Dalit (59.09%), Brahmin (34.14%), Tharu (35.34%), and Chettri (22.50%).The distribution of intestinal parasites were maximum (62.96%) in class 6 and minimum (21.42%) in class 10.
