The novel presents the subaltern characters with resistance and self representation, changing their fate and raising their voice against marginalization. They do have the sense of identity which they want to preserve and live with dignity. For this, Joanna, a Kurdish woman, and her husband, the central characters of the novel, try their best to protest the capitalistic war lover mode of society and makes their identity sure.
