To meet the objectives of the study twenty novice teachers of English from ten different schools were selected using non-random judgmental or data collection, I used observation. I used checklist to record the observation from the study. The collected data were analyzed using the observation checklist tool only as a medium. The main finding challenges found in teacher’s preparation, lesson introducing, subject matter presentation, using of teaching method, selection and use of instructional materials, instructional process in the classroom and students evaluation. This thesis consists of five chapters. The first chapter deals with general background, statement of the problem, objectives, delimitations of the study, significance of the study and operational definitions. The second chapter, consists of review of both theoretical and empirical literature with conceptual framework. The third chapter, methodology deals with design of the study, sources of data collection, population and sampling of the study, sampling procedures, tools for data collection, and data analysis and interpretation procedure. The fourth chapter includes results and discussion of the data.
