Its concern is natural as India has been close to Nepal not only geographically but also economically and politically for a long time. Indian diplomats and leaders often visited Nepal and expressed their opinions. Nepalese media, on their part, represented their expressions often positively without being necessarily critical and analyzing their underlying motives and interests. Their views expressed occasionally in public can be taken as an interference into the independence, sovereignty and integrity of Nepal, but, Nepali media could not figure out this reality. Although Nepali media, being aware of their intervention, tried to resist their high-handedness on some occasions, it is to be noted that the resistance was neither strong noradequate. Their interference could not be amply challenged by the media as the media was victimized by the power structure and hegemony of Indian leaders, diplomats as well as Indian media.en-USNepalese mediaIndian mediaRepresentation of Indian Diplomats Concerning Peace Process in Nepal: A Study of Nepali Print MediaThesis
