Item BUILD AND TEST A SMALL SCALE LIQUID ROCKET ENGINE(I.O.E, 2024-03) Paudel, Bijay; Sah, Dhaneshwar; Das, Dipak; Teli, Pritam Sah; Bhattarai, NawarajA liquid rocket engine is a type of propulsion system that uses liquid propellants, typically a fuel and an oxidizer, stored separately in tanks and then mixed and burned in a combustion chamber to produce thrust. Liquid rocket engines are widely used in various space exploration missions, satellite launches, and military applications due to their high performance and controllability. In this paper the components of a liquid rocket engine i.e nozzle, combustion chamber and fuel injector were designed and tested. Two fuels LPG and kerosene were combusted with gaseous oxygen to generate thrust. The components were simulated in ANSYS to test their performance. Pressure fed system was adopted to pressurize kerosene and LPG didn’t needed to be pressurized as it was already stored under pressure. Multiple test results were recorded and exhaust plume was analyzed. The thrust of magnitude 12N and 30N was measured in two tests and in other tests only exhaust plume was analyzed. Both the tests had to stopped midway due to chamber and injector failure due to high temperature produced in chamber. The yellow flame was observed in the exhaust plume which is caused by the glow of hot unburnt carbon particles produced due to incomplete combustion. So, further works on materials, manufacturing process and cooling is required.Item Psychoanalytical Study of the Main Character’s Personality in the Movie 'Fight Club'(Department of English edu, 2021) Paudel, BijayThe present study entitled “Psychoanalytical Study of the Main Character’sPersonality in theMovie ‘Fight Club’” was carried out to identify the aspects ofpsychological statein the movie’s main character who had severe insomnia andanxiety problems. The identification is done on the basis of the theoretical premises ofSigmund Freud, Carl Jung and Jacques Lacan. I used descriptive, narrative methodwhich is suitable for literary criticism in this study. I collected the dialogues, events, behaviours, mentality and thoughts in which the main character is involved. Iarranged them according to the different aspects of psychoanalytical theories ofdifferent psychologists. Then I briefly analyzed, how the collected data is related tothe particular psychoanalytical theory and how those things show or relate to thepersonality that the main character carries. I also looked into the relationship of themain character with the female lead. The findings show that a lot of repressedthoughts, feelings and desires were responsible for the main character’s weirdbehaviours which include both sexual andthe non-sexual ones. This thesis has been divided into five chapters. The first chapter isintroductory in nature which deals with background of the study, statement of theproblem, rationale of the study, objectives of the study, research questions, delimitations of the study and operational definitions of the key terms. The secondchapter incorporates the review of related literature. This chapter deals with review ofthe theoretical literature, empirical literature review, implication of the review of thestudy and conceptual framework. The third chapter deals with the methods andprocedureof this study. It consists of design and method of the study, sources of data, sampling procedures, data collection tools, data collection procedures and analysisand interpretation procedure. Similarly, chapter four encompasses analysis andinterpretationof data and a findings’ essay. Finally, the chapter five deals withconclusion and recommendations of the study. And in the final section, references andappendices are included
