Role of Visual Aids in Developing Writing Skill

Abstract

The present study entitled Role of Visual Aids in developing writing skill attempted to present an action research and found out that theaveragescoreincrementof students’after the intervention of visual aids has been increased in high ratio than before introducing visual aids inclasses. The study was carried out by using both primary and secondary sources of data. Altogether 30 students of Grade X of The Rising English Secondary School were purposively selected as the sample population.The major tools of data collection were the test items used during the research study.The conclusion and finding of research is drawn after comparing and analyzing the students’ score of pretest and post test.The major findings of the research showed that the students’ achievement was greater in post test in comparison to pre test after introducing and using visual aids in secondary level classes.It can be said that use of visual aids in the language classroom is effective. This thesis is composed of four chapters and each chapter is divided into necessary heading and sub -headings. Chapter one deals with general background, review of related literature, objectives, and significance of the study. Chapter two includes methodology of the study which include sources of data,population of study,sampling procedure, tools for data collection, process of data collection, and limitations of the study.Chapter three consists of analysis and interpretation of the collected data.Chapter four discusses the findings and recommendations based on the analysis and interpretation of this study.References and appendices follow the fourth chapter.
