Abstract: | This research entitled"Role of Motivation in the Degree of Achievement of English byLimbu Students”was an attempt to find out the motivationsandachievementsofLimbustudents. The main objective of this study was to investigate the status of motivation and English language achievement. Among the factors influencing students' learning, motivation is thought to be an important reason for different achievement.The students of grade eleven and twelve were selected from a government higher secondary school of Panchthar district.The main tools of data collection were motivation survey questionnaires and test scores from the school record.It was found that motivation played positive role with English learning achievement of Limbu students. The study consists of four chapters. Each chapter in turn has been divided into various sub-chapters. The first chapter consists of general background, review of related literature, objectives of the study, significance of the study. The second chapter deals with methodology which contains sources of data,sampling procedure, tools for data collection, process of data collection and limitations of the study.The third chapter includes analysis and interpretation of the collected data, which is the main part of the thesis. Finally, the fourth chapter consists of findings and recommendations of this study. |
