FrankBaum’sThe Wizardof Oz.Taking theoretical insights on childpsychology based on Chris Jenks,Peter Hunt and Millicent Lenz,the researcher examines adults’ unnecessary impositionofrules over the children killing their creativity and imagination through Dorothy, the protagonist of the novel.Dorothy goes away and encounters many problems including cyclone. In the beginning she findsitquite difficult,butlater she discoversseveral ways to keep herselfhappy and successful.The thesisfinallyrevealsthatchildren become betterif there is less intrusion from the adults and move ahead on their own.
