Abstract: This research work is an attempt to analyze the relationship between federalism and literature. Even though federalism has been understood as a political tool and a western model of democracy, it is also a universal democratic model widely applied as a remedy for conflict resolution. In this research work, the federalization process in Nepal has been analyzed with its pitfalls in the political arena. Moreover, since this research work is related to literature, there is also an attempt to make the link between literature and federalism with the assumption that literature and federalism have reciprocal relationship. In the context of restructuring Nepal, it is obvious that the political institutions are in the process of restructuring but it is equally significant to federalize Nepali art and literature. This project is also an attempt to read some key cultural texts through the federal lens.
