Abstract: This study ison ‘Feedback Techniques Used by the SecondaryLevelTeachers’.This study aimed to discoverdifferent feedback techniques used bythe secondary level teachers. Forty teachersfromdifferent colleges ofKathmandu valley were taken as sampleofthe study.The data was collectedusing a questionnaire containing the list of different feedback techniques. Thefindings of the study showthat the majority of the teachers used differentfeedback techniques regularly while the main techniques used in providingfeedback were: repetition activity, confirmation technique/ clarification, raisingawareness, reviewing students works, group works/ pair works, elicitation,giving tasks, class works/homeworks, focus on the evaluation.The positivefeedback techniques weremorefrequently used than the negative techniques.The techniqueslikeon the spotcorrection, giving punishment wereless usedtechniques.For all, the feedback was reviewed as an incentive to teachinglearning process. And, it was used mostly during other activities than duringtheir tests and examinations. The study consists of four chapters. The first chapterencompasses generalbackground which further includes:EnglishLanguage Teaching (ELT),approaches ofELT, methods ofELT,recast, feedback, negativefeedbackandapproaches tofeedback.Furthermore, this chapter consists of review of therelated literature, objectives of the study, significance of the study andprocedures for data analysis. Chapter two deals with methodology. Itencompassessourcesof data, population of the study, sampling procedure, andtools for data collection, process of data collection and limitations of the study.Likewise, the third chapter of the study comprises analysis and interpretationof the data. The data was analyzed and interpreted on the basis of frequencyand percentage. The fourth chapter consists of the findings andrecommendations. The final part presents the references and the appendiceswhich provide the information to support as the evidence.
