Abstract: The researcher has tried to depict the socio economic situation of the child laborers working in the hotel and restaurant. To analyze the situation the researcher has chosen Kalimati area of Kathmandu District as the sample. The study is based on the primary data collected from different small hotel and restaurant of the Kalimati area of Kathmandu District in 2011. The researcher has found that the situation of the children working in the hotel and restaurant are worse. This is so because they are exploited at their work place. The reason why they are here to work is mainly due to the poor economic condition although there is some other cause like broken family etc. As the site selection for the Research was taken as Kathmandu district so most of the child workers seems to be from the near district of the selected area i.e. Dhading, Makawanpur, Kavre, Nuwakot, Rasuwa. Some are found to be from the district which is far like Chitawan and Udayapur etc. One worker was found to be from the India. The child laborers are compelled to work beyond their capacity and they even have to face harsh and hard voice. The master are not even conscious about the health of the child working their
