Abstract
The purpose of this study wastodescribethe level of job satisfaction of mathematics
teachers teachingfrom gradeVto gradeXin Kathmandu district and compare the level of job
satisfaction of teachers teaching from gradeVto gradeXin Kathmandu district of Nepal with
regard to age, gender, qualification, work and income.
This is a quantitative research. The research method applied in this study was survey
design. The researcher used questionnaire and interview as themain instrument for this study.
The data was analysed byusingdescriptive statistics percentage, mean, SD, t-test and one way
ANOVA (f-test).Data was interpretedby using Maslow hierarchy of satisfaction level.The
findings indicated thatamong the fivelevels of Maslow's hierarchy of needs, mathematics
teachers' job satisfactionis on basic level i.e. physiological needsisonly satisfied.And the
overall job satisfaction was at moderate level. Aspects like age, gender, qualification and work
were foundto be moderate level and income was in unsatisfied level. And the aspects like age,
qualification, workload and income were found to be statistically significant difference. And
there is no significant difference between job satisfaction and gender.Thismeans that the
aspects like age, qualification, workload and income have an impact on the level of job
satisfaction. And gender does not have impact on the level of job satisfaction.
The findings of the research will be helpful for the policy makers and the improvement
of raising the level of job satisfaction of teachers' from gradeVto gradeX. It will be helpful for

of teachers' teaching from gradeV to grade Xin Kathmandu district of Nepal.
