Abstract: | The research entitled' Reading Comprehension Ability of Dalit Students' is anattempt to findout the reading comprehension ability of the Dalit students ofSankhuwa-Sava district. To fulfil the objectivesof the study, the researcher usedthe random sampling procedure for selecting the sample population. Theresearcher selected six different schools and took out six students including threeboys and three girls from each school for the population of the study. Test itemwas the main tool for data collection. The test items consisted of both the seen andunseen passages. The data was analyzed using statistical tools such as mean,standard deviation and T-test. Through the analysis and interpretation it was foundthat reading comprehension ability of Dalit students is notsatisfactoryand theboys' performance was better than the girls'. This study incorporates four main chapters and other many sub-chapters. The firstchapter deals with the general background of the study, review of the relatedliterature, objectives and significance of the study. The second chapter consists ofthe methodology, data gathering procedures and limitations of the study.Similarly, third chapter includes the analysis and interpretation of data. Andfinally, the fourth chapter presents findings and recommendations based on theanalysis and interpretation of the collected data. |
