Abstract: | This study is based on primary data from the field survey, 165 return migrants(A migrants’who cross national boundaries for at least six months) were successfully interviewed by applying systematic random sampling method in Hatiya VDC of makawanpur District. There turn migrants from both sexes were interviewed to examine the cause and consequences of international migration and it also examine the international migration of Hatiya VDCthrough safe and unsafe perspectives. This study attempts to analyze the causes and consequences of international migration on safe/ unsafe perspectives. This study consider migration as an outcomes of a set of severalvariables like as socio-economic, psychological, cultural, political and demographic variables. In the context of study area, economy is the main cause of international migration and it is followed by psychological variables, in stable government as well as internal conflict(maoist insurgency). Similarly the study found that the change in socio-economic status of the respondents after foreign employment, which are taken as positive consequences of international migration. |
