Abstract: The thesis entitled "Yamphu and English Pronominals" accounts the analysis and interpretation of the pronominals of the Yamphu language.This research has been based on the 35 informants who passed the SLC. The respondents forth is research have been selected from Matchyapokhari VDC of Sankhuwasava district those who are Yubhali dialect speakers.The affixes are used to form different forms of pronouns in the Yamphu language. In personal pronouns different suffixes are added to form reflexive pronouns.Unlike most of the other Kirati languages, Yamphu makes no formal distinction between third person dual and a third person plural personal pronouns.Yamphu has more number of pronouns in comparison to English and they are more complex than those of English;Personal, reflexive and possessive pronouns are categorized under three categories i.e. first, second and third person in both languages.Yamphu has the existence of inclusive and exclusive pronouns for the first person personal pronouns and reflexive and possessive pronouns in dual and plural numbers which do not exist in English. Yamphu personal, reflexive, and possessive pronouns are categorized under three numbers i.e. singular, dual and plural whereas English personal reflexive and possessive pronouns are categorized under two numbers i.e. singular and plural. This thesis consists off our chapters. Chapter one is about general back ground of the study; it is the detailed review of the related literature, objectives of the study, significance of the study and definition of specific terms. Chapter two accounts with methodology; it encompasses sources of data, sampling procedure, research tools and process of data collection and limitations of the study. Chapter three is very important which includes the analysis and interpretation of the data. Interpretation deals with comparative and contrastive points of both languages. Chapter four incorporates findings, recommendations and pedagogical implications of the research.
