dc.description.abstractThis study was carried out on the title “Magar and Dalit Students' Achievement in Mathematics at Secondary Level”. The study included 10 Community and Institutional schools having both Magar and Dalit students as sample students. Altogether 200 students i.e., 100 Magar and 100 Dalit students were selected randomly from the sample schools out of two caste groups 50 were boy and 50 were girl students. The research was held on the objectives;Find out the Magar and Dalit students’ achievement in Mathematics at secondary level and Compare the Magar and Dalit students’ achievement in Mathematics at secondary level. To meet these objectives, 70 multiple-choice test items were developed based on secondary level Mathematics curriculum and subjected to pilot study to 12 students of grade 10 of Sorvodaya S.S Bhurung Tatopani, Myagdi. Items were analyzed statistically by determining the difficulty level and discrimination index of the items. Finally 50 items were selected for the achievement test. The achievement test was administered to the sample students of sample schools. All the answer sheets were collected and scored. The data obtained were tabulated and analyzed by using mean, standard deviation, variance and two-tailed t-test at 0.05 level of significance. From the analysis of the data collected and information, The mean score of the Magar students was 33.65 and a Dalit student was 31.25.There was significant difference between Magar and Dalit students' achievement in Mathematics at secondary level .There was no significant difference between comparison of Dalit boy and Dalit girl students and Magar boys student and Dalit boys students.There was significant difference in comparison of Magar boy and girl students and Magar girls and Dalit girl studenten_US
