Abstract: The study entitled Teacher’s and Student’s Attitude Towards Instructional Materials at lower secondary level was focused to find out the attitude of lower secondary level mathematics teacher’s and student’s towards instructional materials. It was also aimed to analyze the relationship between teacher’sattitude and student’s attitude towards instructional materials at lower secondary level of Rautahat District according to the objectives of the study, corresponding hypothesis were formulated. The study adopted descriptive survey design. A set of opinionnare with 24 statements for studentsabout instructional materials and another set of opinionnare with 26 statementsfor teacher about instructional materials form were tools for collecting data. The statements in the opinionnare were categorized into five categories as :Attitude based on preparation of instructional materials, Attitude based on use and application of material in teaching learning activities, Attitude based on sources of instructional materials, Attitude based on selection and appropriateness of instructional materials in teaching learning activities and attitude based on type of instructional materials (Manipulative, concrete).The opinionnare forms were distributed to 20 lower secondary school students and 34 lower secondary school teachers from public schools. The data were collected, tabulated, ordered, compared, calculated and analyzed by using different techniques. The chi- square test was performed at 0.05 level of significance to analyze the student and teachers attitude and t- test was used tocompare the attitude of students’ and teachers’. From the analysis and interpretation of collected data, the following findings were drawn.There was positive attitude of lower secondary level students towards instructional materials. There was positive attitude of lower secondary level teachers towards instructional materials.There was a significance difference between students and teachers attitude towards instructional materials.
