Abstract: This research work studies an urban environment of Kathmandu valley through the concept of eco criticism in an anthology Whose City is this?. The contemporary Nepali poets have shown the environmental concern of urbanity differently. Swo Swopnil Smriti, Janak Paudyal,Gobardan Pooja, Dhan Raj Giri, Phulman Bal, Krishna Dharabasi, Manisha Gauchan and Prakash Angdabebring to light an issue of urbanization, which is the cause of environmental degradation in the metropolis. Likewise, Amar Neupane and Sharubhakta depict ongoing pollution of river, air and soil. Morever; Rajna Mukarung,Dilli Raman Nepal, Manu Manjil, Sulochana Manandhar show the anxiety of deforestation. In the same way, Abhi Subedi, Benju Sharma and Buddhi Sagar chapagain reveal the nostalgic rendering of rural ecology. Also, Dilli Raman Nepal, Krishna Joshi, Biplov Pratik and Purna Baidhya illustrate the notion of eco- consciousness. By internalizing these ecological issues of different poets,this research states the flux environment of Kathmandu valley. However,through their creative imaginings, they have made their attempt to revitalize the previous pristine nature by assimilating eco-friendly activities at the expense of eco-inimical ones.The significance of this study is to give awareness to the public regarding the in stable environment
