dc.description.abstractThis is a micro level study of Gorkha Durbar to see the Status of tourism around this area. Tourism is the important phenomena for the development of the country. The main objectives of the study are to identify facilities available for village tourism and assess the tourism product available in the study area. This study also analyzes the impact of tourism in the study area and forwards some consideration for the important of tourism in this area. The research is based on descriptive research design to ease researcher in collecting information about status of Tourism in the study area. For data collection, mostly qualitative technique was used to explore situation and improvement of tourism status in Gorkha Palace. The data were gathered from both quantitative and qualitative nature. Similarly both primary and secondary data were used in this study. Primary data were collected through household survey, observation, Project Status Reporting and interview. The various internal and external sources used for acquire secondary data. However, quantitative technique also used to identify the income, education and development status of people in study area. The research found that, 55% of tourists were from Nepal and 45% from abroad. Mainly 21-50 years age groups of tourists were visit around Gorkha Durbar. Most of the tourists were visit for the study of village people and culture. The largest numbers of tourists likes to visit in autumn season and mostly they stay one night and two days. Gorkha Durbar is a famous historical place of Nepal. So, it has great scope in the tourism field. Which shall be actualized to increase the level of income of the locals?en_US
