The White Tiger written by Arvinda Adiga exposes India as a dark place. This novel has only brought in light the negative sides of India in religious beliefs, tradition, culture, human behaviour, economy, geography and governance system. It is all because of Adiga's intention to show India as the place of barbarism, and unique in comparison to western countries like America. Adiga has studied India on the basis of the Western culture, religious beliefs, rites, etc. which comes under oriental study. By presenting dark side of India Adiga has been presented himself as an Eurocentric. He has represented Indian geography as dirty, Indian woman as brutal, unkind, money-minded etc. and the Indian government as a failure government to manage corrupt employees. Thus, such depiction of India by Adiga is a clear proof for claiming Adiga as a Eurocentric.en_US
