dc.description.abstractThe study entitled “Motivating Factors of Students to Learn English Language Learning in Higher Level” was conducted to explore the motivating factors of students to learn English language in higher level. I used qualitative research design and adopted narrative inquiry as the method to carry out this research. The population of the study included all students of B.Ed. level, who were studying major English at Mangal Multiple Campus, Kirtipur. Among them five students were selected as the sample for the study by using non-random purposive sampling procedure. I conducted in-depth interview to elicit the required data. The data were analyzed by using thematic approach. From the analysis and interpretation of the data, it was found that the participants were motivated to learn English language to do better job, use of science and technological materials, English language became as a global language, for further study, to make prestige than other in society, for improvement of English language proficiency. This thesis consists of five chapters. The first chapter deals with the introduction of the study which consists of background of the study, statement of the problem, objectives of the study, research questions, significance of the study, delimitations of the study, and operational definitions of the key terms. Similarly, the second chapter is about the review of theoretical as well as empirical literature and its implication for the study. Moreover, it also includes the conceptual framework. Likewise, the third chapter deals with the methods and procedures of the study which covets design and method of the study, population, sample and sampling strategy, research tools, sources of data, data collection procedures, data analysis procedures and ethical considerations. In the say way, the fourth chapter includes the analysis and interpretation of the data. Finally, the fifth chapter incorporates the findings and conclusion of the study followed by some policy related, practice related and further research related recommendation based on the study. The references and the appendices are also included for the validation of the research at the end of the study.en_US
