Abstract: The present study entitled “Beliefs of English Teachers in Using Pair Work” is an attempt to identify and find out the beliefs of English teachers in using pair work technique in their classes and suggest some pedagogical implications. In order to collect the data, the primary and secondary sources were used. Forty English teachers teaching at secondary level in Ilam district were involved as informants in this study. The main tool for data collection was the questionnaire. The participants were requested to help me by responding to the questionnaire. The raw data obtained from them were analyzed and interpreted descriptively as well as using simple statistical tools. After analysis and interpretation of the data it was found that teachers have positive beliefs towards pair work technique in their classes. The present study consists of four chapters. The first chapter deals with general background, objectives, significance of the study and review of the related literature. Chapter two deals with the methodology of the study which consists of sources of data, tools, process of data collection and limitations of the study. Likewise, chapter three deals with the analysis and interpretation of the collected data. Finally, chapter four deals with the findings of the study and its recommendations for pedagogical implications.
