Use of Terminologies found in mobile phones

Abstract

The thesis entitled ‘Use of Terminologies Found in Mobile Phones' is an attempt to find out the achievements in English vocabulary learning through the use of mobile phone. For this, data have been collected from four government schools of Dhankuta and Sankhuwasabha districts through written test from the students of class ten who were the mobile users at least for one year. To meet the objectives of the research, ten students from each school were taken as a practical study. The written papers were checked and analysis and interpretation of data had been carried out under different headings. The collected data through different tests were analyzed and interpreted using the tables. After analysis and interpretation of data, it was found that the total vocabulary achievement of the students was 65.75 through the use of mobile phone. So I reached the conclusion that the mobile phone is helpful material to learn the English vocabulary.

This thesis consists of four chapters. The first chapter deals with the general background, literature review, objectives and significance of the study. Similarly, the second chapter deals with the methodology applied to conduct the study. This consists of the sources of data, sampling procedure, tools for data collection, process of data collection and the delimitations of the study. The third chapter includes analysis and interoperation of the data obtained from practical study. The last chapter is finding and recommendation, in which some pedagogical implications have been recommended. The appendix and references are given in the final part of the thesis.
