dc.description.abstractThis dissertation is a discussion of Samrat Upadhyay's The City Son from the psychoanalytical point of view. The focus is mostly on the libidinal acts of the characters, the cause behind their too much libidinal desires and its consequences. The novel has been analyzed on the basis of a concept elaborated by Sigmund Freud's psychoanalysis which is considered as theoretical discussion under the broad phenomenon that is Libido. Finally, the study concludes on the bold decision made by Rukma and change the situation.en_US
