Abstract: Nepal, being one of the poorest countries of the world, is facingvarious problemssuch as rapidly rising population, fewer possibilities for developing industries limitedscope for increasing agricultural production, growing unemployment, socialdiscrimination, poverty and so on. In this context, tourism has been regarded as ameans of achieving social, economic development of the country. For conducting the study data obtained from the field using household survey,interview with tourist and hotel owners through questionnaires.75 respondents havebeen selected as random sampling method. Out of them 40 were local people, 25 weretourist and 10 were hotel owners from the study area. Primary information has beencollected during the field survey, household survey, besides key information interviewand observation as well as secondary data has been used. Other data was alsocollected from different sources such as published and unpublished books, journal,articles and library. The potentiality of tourist arrival in the study area is favorable in all season. Duringthe study time some problems were also found in the study area. Tourism center isalso not established for the tourists.The nation have also announced the study area asthe tourism area., for the promotion of the tourism activities local NGO’s ,Municipality andsome other organization are also working but the effort is not soenough. So, I think that my thesis work will also support to some extent for thetourism development. A set of recommendations, conclusion and suggestion havebeen made at the end of study.
