Abstract: The study is based on the primary data collected from Topgachi VDC ward No. 8 and 9 .The study is conducted among 30 females. The objectives of the study is the access the knowledge and awareness of DVAW and the socio-economic impact on domestic violence against women .Further research has amide to study the situation of behavior on reporting the incidence of domestic violence and to the knowledge about legal provision for DVAW. In this study expletory and descriptive research designs have been used .The study is descriptive as describe the knowledge , awareness among the women of study area. Both primary and Secondary data have been used to carry out the study. The primary data had collected from the study area and secondary data had used from different journal, article, books and related other materials. The level of knowledge about domestic Violence against women is better in study area Radio and Television is most effective source of information .All the respondents have an experienced of at least any forms of violence . Women in Topgachi VDC of jhapa district are not far from the Multi -media which provide the new information about country. But they are fully deaand upon husband or male person of the family .There is not any responsible organization to listen voice of victim women and others .They are deprived from education ,communication and inforamation .Theyalways keep hope to strong political commitment and towards women's rights.
