dc.description.abstractThe present studyentitled ‘Teachers'perceptionon student-centredtechniques’ is an attempt tofind outthe teachers’ perceptiononstudent- centred techniquesfrom higher secondary level of public vs. private schoolEnglish teachers’, and aim at suggesting some pedagogical implications. Inorder tocollect the data, the primary and secondary sources were used. Forty teachers teaching at higher secondary level ofKathmandu districtwereinvolved as informants in this study. The main tool for data collection was questionnaire. The participants were requested to response to those questions.The raw data obtained from them were analyzed and interpreted statistically as well as descriptively. After analysis and interpretation of the data, it is foundthat teachers had very positive view about using the students-centred techniques in the classroom. In addition, it is found that a short of languageskills and aspects can be taught using the students-centred techniques. The present study consists of four chapters. The first chapter deals with generalbackground, objectives and significance of the study, and review of related literature. Chapter two deals with the methodology of the study,which consistsof sources of data,tools and process of data collection, and limitations of the study.Likewise, chapter three deals with the analyzingand interpretationof thedata.In this section, descriptive approaches have been used. Finally, chapter four deals withfindingsof study and its recommendations for pedagogicalimplications.en_US
