Abstract: The researchwork entitled ‘The Impact of Internet on Language Learners in ELT’aimed to explore the influence of internet in the students of the English Language.Taking the sample of the students of the Master Level from the faculties ofHumanities and Education, theresearcher collected and analyzed the data and hasfound out that the internet has been an inevitable tool for learning among themaster level students.I used both primary and secondary sources of data in thisstudy. Twenty students from each category were selected using randomjudgmental sampling procedure. They were given questionnaires for datacollection. Five students from each category were observed purposively atdifferent cyber cafes in Kirtipur.Thesecondary sources of data were variousbooks, journals, and internet related to the study. I analyzed and interpreted datacollected through questionnaire and observation using simple statistical tools. Themajority of students regularly consult the internet to enhance their learning. Theyfrequently visit the cyber cafes to consult the websites of their interest. Although ithas several of the negative effects on its users, it is not the case of with the Masterlevel students since they clearly know that taking advantage or disadvantage fromthe use ofinternet dependsupon the users themselves. So,the master levelstudents are found out to besincere in learning through the use of internetmastering their skills of language and knowledge about the English literature. This research work consists of four chapters and two appendices. Chapterone isan introductory one which includes general background, review of relatedliterature, objectives and significance of the study. Chapter two includesmethodology which includes the sources of data and limitations of the study.Chapter three consists of analysis and interpretation of data. Findings andrecommendations of the study are given in the last chapter i.e. chapter four whichis followed by references and appendices.
