Abstract: Child labour is a seriousand widespread problem in Nepal. The form of childlabour ranges form domestic work to the porter due to the problems of theirlivelihood. This study has been carried out with the aim of analyzing the extendedform of child labour in hotel and restaurant in Damak Municipality. In the study area,there is a visible problem of child labour in the hotel end restaurant. Child labour whocompelled to work there, was suffering from various hazardous such as, low wages,unhygienic situation, tolerable life. The study shows that boys child labour are morevolnerable than girl child labour. The age group of 10-14 years are more involved andmost of the child labour were form Hindu religion i.e. 70 percent, similarly study alsopresents the correlation between the parental education and occupation andextensionof child labour most of the child labourers 56 percent are illiterate and they are totallydeprived of educational right only 44 percent are literate. The major reason fordropping or never attending to school is found as poverty (49.9%). Likewise 71percent of child labourer received Rs. 300 to 500 per month as salary which is notsufficient to their daily life. Majority of child labourers have their both parents alive (69%),29 percentchild labourers don't have their own farm land. Those children who came from thefamily with own farm have insufficient follow the agriculture occupation. One of the miserable conditions child labour is over load and there is no anymeans of entertain on leisure period.Child labourers does not have any clear roadmap about their fiture life. Most of the respondents reported that they are interested tobe a cook. 75 percent respondent's are out of knowledge on child right and majority ofthem are infected by fever, caugh and headache. From these point one can easily findthe real situation of child labour who work in hotel and restaurants. If this tendencywill be increase day by day, it will take ferable so that it is necessary to take the actionagainst the child labour in hotel andrestaurants.
