Abstract: The research entitled "Activities of Teaching Rhymes in Montessori Schools” is an attempt to find out the activities adopted by the teachers in teaching rhymes in Montessori Schools. It also aims to find teachers' views towards rhymes teaching in Montessori class. In order to achieve these objectives, two research tools viz. class observation form and questionnaire to the teachers were prepared. Two Montessori schools each from Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur were selected purposively. It has been found that the activities of teaching rhymes varied from teacher to teacher. No fixed activities were found in teaching rhymes in Montessori Schools. The present study consists of four chapters. The first chapter deals with general background, objectives of the study, significance of the study and review of related literature. Chapter two deals with the methodology of the study. Methodology consists of sources of data, population of the study, sampling procedure, tools for data collection and limitations of the study. Chapter three deals with the analysis and interpretation of the data. The analysis was done in two sections. Section A deals with Holistic view: details of teaching learning activities used in real classroom and section B deals with the analysis of collected data in terms of teachers' views towards rhymes teaching in Montessori school and the chapter four deals with the findings and recommendations of the study.
