Abstract: The present study entitled "Developing Writing Skills Through Student's'Quality Circles" in Green Village Secondary School in Kathmandu is anattempt of the researcher to develop students' writing skill throughStudents' Quality Circles. The main objective of the study is to developthe writing skill through students' Quality Circles. Its another objective isto identify the role of SQC to develop writing skill. The researcher usedboth primary and secondary sources of data. The primary data waselicited from the thirty students of grade seven, eight and nine of GreenVillage Secondary School, Kirtipur, Kathmandu by administrating pre-test, progressive test and post-test. Likewise, the researcher collected datathrough observation of SQC activities. After analyzing and interpretingthe data the researcher found that the use of SQC activities is an effectivetechnique in developing writing skill in the case of lower secondary andsecondary level students. It is further found that SQC activities arehelpful to develop students' creativity to develop ability to express theirideas as well as build confidence and make students self disciplined. The study consists of four chapters. Thefirst chapter introduces the studyin terms of general background, review of related literature, objectivesand significance of the study .The second chapter deals with themethodology which is sub chaptered as the sources of data, samplingprocedures, tools for data collection, process of data collection and thelimitations of the study. The third chapter includes the analysis andinterpretation of the scores on pre-test progressive test and post test andweekly analysis of circles' activities. The fourthchapter has the findingsand recommendations of the study in which some pedagogicalimplications have been recommended. Finally it includes the referencesand appendices.
