I havebased my study onthe responses of fifty students of grade eleven and fiveteachers teaching at secondary level from Santwona Memorial AcademyHigher Secondary School. Secondary sources of data are from differentjournals, thesis, articles, magazines and internet websites.Thequestionnaire and class observation form were used as research tools fordata collection. With the help of analysis and interpretation of data, findings were derived. It was found that teaching was teacher centered;lecturer and demonstration methodswere widely used. The secondfinding of this study is that the washback effect of written examinationwas positive because it was found that written test has maintained validityeach year starting from 2062 to 2066 B.S. All items are asked in the testandstudents have got opportunity to neglect any items to develop writingskill which is demanding skill to be developed in learners.
