dc.description.abstract | InFrench Lover, Nasrin presents the obsessive desire of modern women through the narrative of Nila, one of the characters and narrator of the novel. This study only focuses on the women's desire for freedom. Nila, Mithu, Danielle an other female characters searchtheir existence and challenge the established social norms by using freedom of choice. Nasrin examines the female characters who protest against social limitations by going against marriage bond and heterosex. For the sake of existence, they are ready tochoose anything.
