Abstract: The research work entitledTheLanguage Used by Nepali and Non-NepaliWriters inthe JournalsofNELTAis an attempt to analyze and describe thelanguage used in the articles of NELTA journalsin terms of sentencetypes,voice, and deixis. This study also attemptedto find out whether the languageused in the articles written by Nepali writersaredifferent from the languageused in the articlesbynon-Nepali writers. This research is a descriptive studyandusedofonly the secondary sources of data.The required data werecollected by using observation.The total samples for this study were twenty sixarticlesfrom NELTA journals. Out of the twenty six articles, thirteen werewritten by Nepali writers andthe same numberbyNon-Nepali writers. Thefindingsof this research showed that complex sentences, active voice andperson deixis were found maximally used or highly frequentin both types ofarticles.Onthe other hand, compound sentencesmixed voice and time deixiswere foundtheleastfrequent in both types of articles. Similarly,non-Nepaliwriters have used complex sentences,passive voice, mixed voice, place deixisand time deixis a little bit higher thanthose ofNepali writers.On the otherhand,Nepali writers were found to usemoresimple sentences, compoundsentences, active voice and person deixis more frequently thanthose of non-Nepali writers. This study consists of four chapters. The first chapter deals with generalbackground,reviewofrelatedliterature, objectives and significance of thestudy. Similarly, second chapterincludessourcesof data, samplingprocedure,tools of data collection,processof data collection and limitations of the study.Likewise, the third chapter deals with the analysis and interpretation of thecollected data with the help of different tables. This chapterhasusedsimplestatistical tools likepercentage andaverage to lead the study to the conclusion.The last chapter deals with the findings and recommendations based on theanalysis and interpretation of data.
