Abstract: This thesis entitled"Content Validity of Examination Papers: ACase ofReading, Writing and Critical Thinking Course"attempts to determine theValidity ofYearEnd Examination of B. Ed First Year Course. The mainobjective of thisresearch studyisto determine the validity of the Year EndExamination of B. Ed. FirstYear's Course (Reading Writingand CriticalThinking, Eng. Ed.317). In order to fulfill this purpose, the researcher hasanalyzed only subjective question papers of 'Reading Writingand CriticalThinking ' from 2066-2067.Only the secondary sources of data wereused forthis purpose. The question paperswere compared and analyzed with coursecontentsin terms of content coverage and weighting .It was found that theExaminationpapers have good content validity in terms of content coveragebut low content validity in terms of content weighting. The study is divided into four chapters. The first chapter deals with theintroduction which consists of general background (language testing,Achievement tests, language teaching and language testing, qualities of goodtests, language skills, introduction of course, reading vs.writing, criticalthinking. It also includes review of related literature, objectivesandsignificance of the study. The second chapter is related to the methodologywhich consists of sourcesof data, tools for data collection, process of datacollection and limitations of the study. The third chapter deals with the analysisand interpretation of the collected data which wereanalyzed and interpreted interms ofcontentcoverage and weighting.The last chapter deals with thefindings, recommendationsof thestudy. The findings have been made on thebasis of the analysis and interpretation of data. It also includes appropriaterecommendations or pedagogical implications.
