Abstract: The study on the "Comparative Study about Knowledge and Use ofContraceptive Methods among Limbu and Dalit Women" has beencarried out by using primary data collection from Mangjabung VDC,Panchthar District. This study includes 100 currently married womenwhere 50 Limbu and 50 Dalit currently married women of reproductiveages 15-49 years. The main objective of this study is to analyze variationin contraceptive knowledge between Limbu and Dalit women withrespect to their socio-economic and demographic characteristics. Therelationship between contraceptive use and selected demographic andsocio-economic characteristics are examined by using frequency tableand cross tabulation. The total household of this VDC is 727 and 3,988 total population where2,388 Limbu, 361 Dalit and others. The average family size of Limbuwomen iscomparatively lower than Dalit women.The socio-economicand demographic status of Limbu women is better than Dalit women.Limbu women have more knowledge about the contraception becausethey have more access to get various sources of information about it.Sothis studyhas found that the knowledge and use of contraception ofLimbu women is higher than Dalit women.
