Abstract: The study is a comparative analysis of "Women's Participation in Household Decision Making" among Sarki, Gurung and Chhetri married women, which is based on primary data collected from the Phulkharka VDC. The main objectives of the study are to examine demographic and socio-economic status and the participation of decisionmaking power of married women (15-49 years) in household chores of the study area. Out of the nine wards three wards (3,4 and 5) have been taken by using purposive sampling. Out of 872 household 90 household were included purposively as sample for the study, and a total of 122 respondents were interviewed. Inside the topic of decision making, many variables are analyzed regarding the study area like decision on birth, cropping, buying and selling livestock, education of children, health problem of children, use of family planning methods, using the type of fuel for cooking food, family expenditure and taking loan or deposits in women's name. It also gives the Socio-economic status of all women a whole in the study area. It is observed that among the three ethnic groups, majority of Chhetri respondents participated in local level committees and higher socio-economic status than Gurung and Sarki respondents but the socio-economic status of Sarki is poor.
