Abstract: The present research study entitled "Teachers’ Perception Towards the Use ofInductive Method in Grammar Teaching"aims to find out the teachers perceptiontowards the use of inductive method in grammar teaching.This is a survey research. Inorder to carry out this study, I have collected the data fromfifty English teachers fromsyangja district who were teaching in community based school. I have analyzed thismethodon the basis of strengths and weaknesses aspointed by the teachers. Theresponses they provided were used as the primary sources of data. The finding of theresearch is that most of the teachershave positive perception towards theuse of inductivemethod in grammar teaching.They argue thatthis methodisreally helpful for theteachers. While applying inductive method, the teacher should teach grammatical itemconsciously and meaningfully according to the interest of the child. It gives theoreticaland practical knowledge. Most of the teachers are in favor of applying inductive methodin grammar teaching. Thisthesis has been organized intofour chapters. The first chapter deals with theintroduction and this chapter includes the review ofrelated literature, objectives of thestudy, and significance of the study. The second chapter includes methodology adopted tobring out this research work. While carrying out this work, the data was collected fromboth sources viz. primary and secondary where teachersremained as the primary source.The third chapter presents the analysis and interpretation of the data. In this chapter,primarily, the teachers’ perceptions were presented. The fourth chapter includes findingsand recommendations made upon the analysis and interpretations of the data.
