Description: This study examines electricity tariffs across South Asia to identify how well they are targeted to support inclusive economic growth. This paper analyzes how electricity utilities can support inclusive economic growth while remaining financially viable. It examines socially inclusive electricity tariffs in six countries of South Asia: Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, and Sri Lanka. Tariff diversity was analyzed across Indian states: Assam, Gujarat, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Tamil Nadu.
