dc.description.abstractDomestic tourism has a great prospect in Chitwan valley. Geographically Chitwan is situated in Central part of Nepal. Nepal has an unequaled ecological and natural environment variation ranging from the Terai plains to Mountain and High Himalayas representing richness in biological and cultural diversity. To reduce the overall poverty take through creation of income and employment generating activities in the key sectors we look at the existing tourism development approach in Chitwan, we find that the wildlifetourism is the single most but other complementary projects such ashiking, bird watching, solitude wondering around the pond and lakes,forthuities and culture, community display, agro-tourism type, sporttourism type an religious type tourism. In view of the promotion of domestic tourism, the study examines thepotentiality and essentiality of domestic tourism in Chitwan.Chitwan valley really natural, cultural, religious for all Nepalese It is also near from major cities of Nepal as well as accessibility. Thus study focus on scope and prospect of domestic tourism in different part of Chitwan valley. From results of the study shows there is a great potentiality for domestictourism inChitwan.The study found that 60 respondents are selected forinterview out of 520 in whole Chitwan about 12 percent of total numberof them. Similarly, 98 percent of Nepalese visited Chitwan national Parkout of 30100 in B.S. 2063/64 for jungle safari, bird watching and crocodile watching. So importance of domestic tourism is essential to apply in Chitwan to different part of people from Nepal.en_US
