Abstract: The present study entitled "Teachers' Views on Peer and Self Correction"isan attempt to examine to find outviews of theEnglishteachers aboutpeer andself correction techniques in grade ninemoreover this study makes an attemptto compare views among theEnglishteachers from differentgovernment aidedsecondary schools. Purposive, judgmental, non random sampling which aremainly based on both sources (i.e. primary and secondary sources of the data).Questionnaire was the main tool used for datacollection. All together fifteenEnglishteachers' views from different 6 secondary schools in Jajarkot districtwas analyzed. The finding is that most of theteachersi.e. 46.66 percentappliedself correction technique rather than peer correction. The study found thatEnglish teachersmostly used peer correction technique foravoid errors. Thestudy also found that peer correction technique is far better than teachercorrection technique because of it merits. This thesis has been divided into four chapters. The first chapters is theIntroduction forthe study, introduction to error analysis, review of the relatedliterature, objectives of the study and significance of the study. The second chapter deals with methodology adopted for carrying out the study. It includes sources of data, tools for data collection and some limitations of the study.Similarly, the third chapter contains the analysis and interpretation of the study.Finally the fourth chapter presents the findings and recommendationsof this research. At the end, references and appendices have been included.
